HospitalityVision at Governor’s Tourism Conference

We have exciting news about what we’re doing to bring you even more happy, targeted customers and to showcase your business throughout Oregon! These updates are sent just to let you know we are out there working on your behalf 24/7 through your hotel TV channel ad, the EZ map, EZ text, and more. We’re even out there tweeting and yelping on your behalf, too.

Several Choice Hotels have approved our Digital Guest Directory as an alternative to the in-room print directory to meet its guidelines in many new properties through waivers issued by choice hotels branding staff. All those table tents you see in the rooms will be a thing of the past as we transfer that information to the TV screens. Watch the latest Comfort Inn version.

If you are a Choice hotel and would like to join our green digital directory movement, please email Nancy.

Over the next few months, The Digital City guide will transition to the name “HospitalityVision,” and our new tagline: “Always Accommodating.” These labels reflect our growth in services.

HospitalityVision (“HV”) is more than just a digital city guide on the Hotel television -- HospitalityVision includes the Digital Guest Directory, the upcoming “My Hotel To Go” Phone App, the EZ map, EZ text, and more. It continues to be the first thing visitors see when they check in to a hotel room or visitor’s center, and with the new partnerships and technology, HV is now the leading information provider to hotel guests whether they are in the room or on the go.

HospitalityVision partners up with Moonshadow Mobile! Our in-room TV HospitalityVision/Digital City Guide Hotel Guest Directory is replacing many of the print directories in our Choice Hotels throughout the state (and your city). For these properties in your city, we are also adding a “My Hotel to Go” version of our fixed TV e-directory (franchise guidelines dictate there has to be one in the room at all times on the TV) so that our guests can take their directories with them on their smart phones. HV is the first in the nation to do this.

If there is a Choice hotel in your city-- so your business will be listed on the Choice hotel directory to go. After guests see you on the mandatory big screen hotel directory in their room, they take you with them on their smart phones. Using the new phone app, these guests can review hotel amenities, hotel layout, and learn about restaurants, shops and attractions, too. Using EZ link, they will link directly to your information. HV provides this added value to your business at the same affordable rate. And for an additional $30 per month, HV can link your menus or product lists and website to your telephone listing, making it easier for hotel guests on the go to see what you have to offer.

HospitalityVision/Digital City Guide received the 2010 Absolutely Innovative Award from Travel Salem at its annual awards luncheon in May.  HV was recognized for improving the visitor experience through our creative partnerships with Travel Salem.   HV provides two welcome streams on television monitors at the Travel Salem café, constantly streaming the area’s current events and attractions, and we bring the visitor’s center into each and every hotel room.

Due to popular demand from the hotel staff in other cities, we are adding an “Oregon’s Best” section to all our EZ maps distributed in Corvallis, Albany, Bend, Newport, Salem, and Eugene at the 50+ hotels that offer HospitalityVision/Digital City Guide. Hotel employees, who are constantly asked about where to dine and shop, will refer guests to the maps.

Oregon’s Best listings change monthly and will be uniform each month throughout the state. Our staff (with input from hotels) will choose one or two of the best places in each city and feature them on the maps in ALL seven cities at no additional cost to our clients. This feature is an added value, in line with our commitment to showcasing your destination business.

When your business is featured, your information will reach thousands of travelers on EZ maps throughout the state in these 50+ hotels even before they come to your city! This is like getting a personal recommendation from each of those statewide hotels and their staff, too.

Follow the link below to check out a sample of June’s “Oregon’s Best” from just one of our seven cities. (We are also expanding throughout Portland starting in July.)

If there is anything we can do to make your ad more effective, please let us know. Our goals are to: promote your business, encourage people to spend money while staying in our hotels, and showcase everything Oregon. Working together we can help revive our economy.

Great NEWS: If you are a restaurant, we want to advertise your happy hour specials in each and every hotel room on through the Digital City Guide – and new liquor laws have made it possible. Reach your target market right when they are deciding where to eat and drink. We can run these specials on our events crawl, EZ Text, and on the map. Soon we will have these on our phone app, too.

Please sign up for our EZ text, at no additional cost, so visitors can text in for your updated happy hour specials. You can promote your specials three ways with us using these multi-media opportunities.

In case you missed it, we are now putting together custom channel guides for hotels with satellite packages on their Digital City Guide channel so that even more people will see your ad!

In several cities, including Corvallis, we can place your menu in each and every room so there is no need to pay to be in a directory! Email us.

Your Digital City Guide sponsored a booth at OSU Mom’s weekend and handed out 100+ “Welcome Moms” Salem, Newport, Bend, Albany, and Eugene maps in addition to our Corvallis maps, promoting businesses in all our Oregon cities. See our booth here.

We love hearing from you! When the ladies golf tournament stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Corvallis this July, many of our businesses commented on the increase in visitors and sales. HospitalityVision helps you tap directly into this different revenue stream to compliment local spending. Plus, almost 30 percent of hotel guests are considering relocating to your city, so you catch them first. Don’t forget the top three questions visitors ask are: Where do I eat? Where do I shop? What is there to do? We send them to your business right when they are asking those questions.

HospitalityVision will be launching at the Portland Airport Hilton, Marriott Hotel and Clarion this summer and at the Medford Ramada, Quality Inn and both Comfort Inns. We are moving quickly as several of these are choice hotels that have brand inspections soon and are transitioning to our unique, Digital Guest Directory.

HospitalityVision is a sponsor for the first annual Annual Texas Style BBQ and Hoedown Fundraiser August 14 for Furniture Share, an Oregon nonprofit corporation that ensures our needy children have beds and no longer have to sleep on the floor. All of our friends throughout Oregon are invited to attend. Purchase your tickets here.
